Ever since its release in 2009, Faces of Schlock has had its share of controversies as to its effect on the public.
(Codney, Rhode Island) A Young woman named Fiona Pelosi was found dead in her bedroom bleeding out after attempting to saw off her own feet with a hacksaw she had borrowed from her boyfriend. A copy of Faces of Schlock was found next to her television set. Her parents' attorney later argued that the incident was caused by her viewing "One Foot in the Grave" a segment in the film. The lawsuit was later dismissed when the judge declared "Your daughter sawed off her own feet, 'cause she was dumb."
(Richmond, New Mexico) After attending a party with his friends in his High School's Audio Visual club, Thomas Ackerman was found at the scene of a brutal murder. The victim, a department store Santa Claus, had been beaten to death repeatedly with a high end camera tripod. Thomas was later convicted and confessed to committing the act. He claimed after seeing "Slay Ride" in the film Faces of Schlock he was afraid of getting "seriously fucked up like that girl with the star in her face."
(Delaware, Michigan) During an evening with a group of friends, Abraham Lincoln was given a description of the film Faces of Schlock. After hearing the basic plot outline he was quoted as saying “If this movie is actually what you say it is, I'll go back in time, run for president, grow a beard, and free the slaves.” His beard still impresses to this day.
(Hungary, Sweden) After an overthrow of their totalitarian government, people ran to the hillsides to celebrate their victory and new found freedom. People cheered in the streets, children could play safely together regardless of class/race/religion, and times were finally on the upturn. We're pretty sure someone watched Faces of Schlock there. Mostly.
